First visit to Bryn Du and I’m sure it won’t be the last. What a beautiful, peaceful place, just what we wanted. Loved everything – the coast path walks, scenery, the sheep, bunnies and swallows. Thanks for restoring the cottage to glory. Hope to be back again soon. Diolch yn fawr iawn.

We have spent another wonderful week at Bryn Du, making many happy memories. Walking along the rugged Aberdaron coastal path is a pleasure I could never tire of. We were blessed (again) with fine weather for the week and the waters in Whistling Sands and Aberdaron Bay were crystal clear. Clear days meant clear nights too, and the chance to gaze at the stars. Coming from an urban home, the night times in the countryside are so much thicker, and the starlight so much brighter. Our happy place.
Another lovely week at Bryn Du. The ‘red tin hut’ (Plas Carmel) at the bottom of the road towards Whistling Sands is a great new addition. Delicious Mexican street food and cold beers – perfect after a long walk down the coastal path. We love this place and the family are looking forward to returning soon.
Thanks so much for a third wonderful holiday in this beautiful holiday cottage in Anelog. We have – amongst other things – celebrated an 80th birthday, attended a Welsh course in the National Trust shop, and a concert of Welsh harp, singing in Aberdaron church (Monday) Plus the beautiful beaches and walks on the coast and hills. So good to see the new Anelog centre (Plas Carmel) opened, where we had a delightful 80th birthday lunch. And thanks to all who keep the cottage so beautiful and welcoming.
This is our fifth year staying at Bryn Du and as always the house is lovely. We went on a trip to Bardsey Island with magnificent weather and even saw dolphins on the trip back. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here with lovely weather and enjoying the opportunity for paddle boarding and body boarding at the local beaches.

We have been coming to Aberdaron for many years but have never stayed on this side of the village. We have loved Bryn Du with its beautiful views. The weather has been mixed but we have been cosy and warm and well entertained in the Beach Hut! We have explored the coastal path and walked to Whistling Sands. Thank you for a great week – we hope to return. 😊

The only downside to this holiday is having to leave at the end of it. We were blessed with fine weather, meaning most days were spent on the beaches at Aberdaron and Whistling Sands. We walked the coastal path to Whistling Sands and from Porth Meudwy to Aberdaron. The views are stunning, as is the view from Uwchmynydd looking to Bardsey Island and over Aberdaron bay. And Bryn Du cottage was simply fantastic – a beautiful property in the most incredible location. A place of tranquillity and beauty and happiness.
A fantastic week at Bryn Du! So lucky with the weather. We spent the whole week on the beaches at Whistling Sands and Aberdaron enjoying the sunshine! We loved the house, it was perfect for us and the children. Loved the huge garden! Thanks for making us so welcome and for helpful tips and guidance during the week.
What a gem of a house. Beautiful surroundings/views. The house is amazing – so well equipped with plenty of little extras that you don’t often get when you rent a property, Jackie, very helpful, thank you. The weather has been lovely.
The house was as welcoming as last time. We loved the new ‘snug’ in the Beach Hut, walks up to the headland, down to the beach and excursion to Plas Yn Rhiw. We’ve been lazy and relaxed. The wild flowers, butterflies and choughs have been a delight. Thanks for providing such a lovely venue.
Another amazing stay at Bryn Du. Only for a couple of days this time but nonetheless a fabulous place to spend a very chilled and lazy weekend. So lucky to have such easy access to the headland and coastal path – literally on the doorstep! Enjoyed a ramble in the sunshine to Whistling Sands and then a stroll to the ‘sunset bench’ to watch the sun go down – spectacular! Don’t want to leave but heading home feeling refreshed, relaxed and thankful!
This is now our third year here. The weather was absolutely fantastic, beach days at Aberdaron, Whistling Sands and paddleboarding from Porth Iago down the coast. Walks around the headland, bike rides around Mynydd Mawr. And of course, the games room kept everyone entertained.
Wonderful location – beautifully maintained cottage and barn. The time has passed so quickly with plenty to do and see.
Thank you so much for a perfect holiday. The cottage is delightful and homely. Great days out on the coastal path, snorkelling and body boarding, Snowden and Ffestiniog railway. We do hope to be back again.

Fourth visit and loved it as always. Beautiful cottage with amazing views. Everything wonderful as usual. Plotting our next visit – don’t want to leave.

What a wonderful cottage. It has been such a beautiful and relaxing holiday, largely as a result of such a great house to start and end the day. Amazing views made it hard to leave each day. Brilliant to be able to just wander out on to the coast path, and trapse over Anelog at will.
We’ve had another (22nd?) holiday here on the Llyn and celebrated an 80th birthday last Sunday. This has been a delightful holiday in this most comfortable of holiday cottage, in this wonderful situation. Not only is this a lovely cottage, you have also provided so many features, such as the Beach Hut for 1-2 wet days. We don’t think it could be improved in any way. Thank you so much.
Lovely visits to Whistling Sands and Aberdaron Beach, walks on the coastal path to Mynydd Anelog and Mynydd Mawr – what a beautiful area. Trampoline and table tennis appreciated by most ages.

What a wonderful house! We had a lovely week taking advantage of the amazing garden and games room. The weather was fantastic and the local area was great to explore. The recommended walks were lovely and the instructions perfect and easy to follow. We’ll be back again soon!
Back again for 3rd time and sorry to leave and will definitely be back.

Wonderful Welsh week enjoying the views from Bryn Du cottage. Loved breakfast from the Bakery, cliff walks and sea kayaking on Aberdaron beach. A trip to Zip World in Bangor was fab!
Amazing views, fantastic games room. Sunny walks and bike rides to offset the goodies from the Aberdaron bakery!

We have had a wonderful week at your beautiful holiday home. We have enjoyed days on the beach at Abersoch and Whistling Sands and also enjoyed very much just lazying around at Bryn Du cottage. If we are in this area again, we would love to stay at Bryn Du.
The house has been perfect in all ways. The kitchen views are fabulous.
Kids loved the playbarn – really helpful when wet and windy. Spent glorious days on Whistling Sands – beautiful beach and great for kids.
